As reported by Arab News, Steven Joyce, New Zealand’s Tertiary Education, Skills and Employment Minister, will arrive in Riyadh today to hold conferences with senior Saudi officials, as well as participate in the International Exhibition and Conference on Higher Education.
He hopes to heighten New Zealand's reputation as a foremost destination for Saudi students.
The international education fair, organized by the Saudi Ministry of Higher Education, will run for four days and will be inaugurated in Riyadh on 17 April. New Zealand is expected to be a key participant at the event, said a spokesperson from the New Zealand Embassy in the Kingdom’s capital.
Joyce is due to deliver the closing address for the region’s largest education fair, which is a key self-promotion event for New Zealand institutes in Saudi Arabia. Several universities, polytechnics, institutes of technology and English language schools will be representing New Zealand at the event.
A list of education consultancy firms as well as officials from Trade and Enterprise, Education New Zealand and Immigration New Zealand will also be participating in the event.
